OVERVIEW
Directed by the master of action, Michael Bay, this film recounts the harrowing true story of the 2012 Benghazi attack. The production required transforming Morocco and Malta into a war zone, with a relentless schedule of night shoots and massive pyrotechnic sequences.
CHALLENGES & APPROACH
The Economics of “Bayhem”.
Working with Michael Bay means operating at maximum intensity. The challenge was managing the “burn rate”—quite literally. The budget for explosives, ammunition, and stunt safety was enormous and consumed daily. My role was to track these volatile costs in real-time, ensuring that the supply chain of “expendables” never slowed down the director’s fast-paced, multi-camera shooting style.
THE RESULT
The film is praised for its visceral realism. We successfully managed the financial pressure of a “Bay” production, proving that we could handle the most demanding logistical environments in Hollywood action cinema.
