OVERVIEW
This popular Moroccan sitcom, directed by Abderrafia Elabdioui, was produced for the highly competitive Ramadan prime-time slot on 2M. Dealing with family dynamics and comedy, the production required filming 30 episodes in a condensed schedule to meet the daily broadcast deadline during the holy month.
CHALLENGES & APPROACH
The “Ramadan Race” Logistics.
Producing a Ramadan sitcom is a sprint. The challenge is volume: managing the payroll and logistics for a large recurring cast and crew over a relentless shooting schedule. Unlike films where we focus on “one perfect shot,” here the priority is speed and efficiency. My role was to ensure that the cash flow remained fluid to keep the “factory” running without a single day of delay, as the broadcast date is non-negotiable.
THE RESULT
The series was delivered on time for the Iftar slot, achieving high ratings. It demonstrated my versatility in managing high-volume domestic television production alongside international feature films.
