OVERVIEW
This ambitious Netflix series blends expert interviews with high-end dramatic reenactments to tell the story of Alexander the Great. Filmed extensively in Morocco, the production required recreating the Persian Empire on a massive scale. As a key Producer for the Moroccan leg, I oversaw the complex operations needed to stage the epic battles of Issus and Gaugamela.
CHALLENGES & APPROACH
The “General” of the Production.
Stepping up to a senior production role meant managing the macro-strategy, not just the budget. The challenge was logistical warfare: mobilizing an entire “army” of cast, crew, horses, and stunt performers across difficult desert terrain. My focus was on unifying the financial, creative, and logistical departments to ensure the directors’ vision was executed with the cinematic quality required by Netflix standards.
THE RESULT
The series reached the Top 10 on Netflix globally. It stands as a testament to my capacity to lead international mega-productions, delivering Hollywood-level spectacle from the heart of Morocco.
