OVERVIEW

Ridley Scott returned to Morocco to film the colossal sequel to his Academy Award-winning masterpiece. Ouarzazate once again served as the heart of the Roman Empire. The production built one of the largest physical sets in cinema history—a full-scale arena—requiring a logistical operation equivalent to managing a small city.

CHALLENGES & APPROACH

The “Empire” Scale.

Working on a Ridley Scott epic is the ultimate test of production capacity. The challenge was scale in every dimension: thousands of extras, hundreds of horses, massive construction crews, and high-security protocols. My role involved managing the financial heavy lifting for this “army,” ensuring that the colossal daily burn rate was controlled while giving the director the absolute freedom to capture his grand vision.

THE RESULT

The film is a cinematic event of global proportions. Being part of this legacy project confirms our standing at the very top of the international production industry, capable of hosting the biggest movies in the world.
