This intense political thriller, featuring Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, dealt with highly sensitive subject matter involving CIA operations. Morocco stood in for a fictional North African country, requiring complex location management in busy urban centers like Marrakech.
CHALLENGES & APPROACH
Sensitive Content & Urban Control.
Filming scenes involving interrogation and unrest in the middle of a bustling city presented unique challenges. We had to manage payments for extensive crowd control and location fees rapidly to keep the production moving without drawing unwanted attention. My role involved ensuring that the financial logistics were as discreet and efficient as the production itself, supporting a high-pressure shoot with tight deadlines.
THE RESULT
The film was completed on schedule, successfully utilizing Marrakech’s unique architecture to create a convincing, atmospheric setting for a global political drama.
